This policy applies to all users of our Services. Our Services are not directed at children under 13 years of age. You must be at least 13 years old to use our Services.

a. Information you provide: We collect personal information that you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, payment information, and any other information you choose to provide when creating an account, making a purchase, or contacting us.

b. Information from third-party sources: We may receive information about you from third-party sources, including social media platforms, public databases, and marketing partners.

c. Automatically collected information: We automatically collect certain information when you use our Services, including log information (such as IP address and browser type), device information, and information collected through cookies and other tracking technologies. For more details, refer to our Analytics and Cookies sections below.

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our Services; process transactions; send you technical notices, updates, and marketing communications; analyze trends and usage; personalize your experience; and detect, prevent, and address fraud and other security issues.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data based on the following legal bases: your consent; contractual necessity to provide our Services; compliance with legal obligations; and our legitimate interests in operating and improving our Services.

a. Service providers: We share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, payment processing, customer support, and third-party AI service providers. The third-party AI service providers that receive your prompt content and the categories of data sent to each are disclosed in detail in §6 (Third-Party AI Subprocessors) below.

b. Business transfers: We may share information in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or other business transfer.

c. Affiliates: We may share information with our affiliated companies.

d. Legal requirements and protection of our Services: We may disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or to ensure the safety of our users and Services.

e. With your consent: We may share information with third parties when you have given us your consent to do so.

When you use Shogo's AI features (chat, agents, voice transcription, image generation), the content you submit is transmitted to one of the following third-party AI service providers, depending on the model you select:

How a provider is selected. You select which provider receives your data by choosing a model in the Shogo interface. If you do not invoke an AI feature, no message content is transmitted to any AI provider. If we add any additional AI subprocessor in the future, we will update this section and notify you in accordance with §13 (Changes to This Privacy Policy).

Same-or-equal-protection commitment. We confirm that each AI subprocessor listed above provides the same or equal protection for your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy. Each subprocessor is bound by a Data Processing Agreement linked above, has been assessed against Shogo's vendor security requirements, and is contractually prohibited from using your inputs or outputs to train its models except where you have explicitly opted in.

In-app disclosure and consent. Before your first message is transmitted to an AI provider, the Shogo app presents an in-app notice naming the provider and the categories of data being sent, and requests your explicit permission. You may revoke that permission at any time by signing out or by clearing app data on your device; revocation prevents any further transmission of your prompt content to AI providers from this device.

Voice and audio. If you use the voice-input feature, the audio you record is transmitted to the speech-to-text provider associated with the model you have selected (OpenAI Whisper or, where enabled, Apple's on-device Speech framework) and converted to text. The audio is not retained by Shogo after transcription. The resulting transcript is then handled as ordinary message content under this §6.

You are responsible for all outputs generated by AI agents operating under your account. We encourage you to review AI-generated content for accuracy, ethical considerations, copyright compliance, and potential biases. Shogo bears no liability for any consequences arising from the use of AI-generated outputs.

When an AI agent acts on your behalf — for example, calling a connected integration such as GitHub, Jira, Gmail, or a custom tool — the agent transmits to the relevant AI provider the same categories of data described in §6, plus any context necessary to complete the requested task (such as the names of issues, the contents of email drafts you ask the agent to compose, or the names and arguments of tools it invokes). The agent does not transmit credentials, OAuth tokens, or API keys to AI providers.

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Usage data is typically retained for up to 24 months. Other data is retained based on its nature and applicable legal requirements. Retention by the third-party AI subprocessors that may receive your prompt content is described in §6.

We implement administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may access and correct your account information through your account settings. You can opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails. You can manage your cookie choices through your browser settings.

You may revoke your consent to share prompt content with third-party AI providers at any time by signing out of the Shogo app or by clearing the app's local data on your device. Revocation prevents any further transmission of prompt content to the AI subprocessors listed in §6 from that device.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have additional data subject rights under applicable law, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and to object. To exercise these rights, please contact us at info@shogo.ai.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect and track information about your use of our Services. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but some features may not function properly.

We use Session Cookies (temporary, deleted when you close your browser), Preference Cookies (to remember your settings), and Security Cookies (to protect your account).

Our Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@shogo.ai.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using our Services, you consent to such transfers.

Your AI prompt content may be transferred to and processed in the United States by the third-party AI subprocessors listed in §6.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
